Design Sketches & Ideas
Our team started sketching out initial designs and ideas that we envisioned for our application. We looked back at our list of makers’ trouble points. Then, we reviewed our user key path scenarios and proposed solutions to potentially integrate into our application.

Team sketches
Our team initially sketched ideas individually to get a wider range of ideas for designs, layouts, and features. We then gathered together to share and combine ideas. This process helped us identify the most crucial components we wanted to include in our application. Ultimately, we want to provide users with what they need and design meaningful interactions with our application.
Though our sketches don’t yet convey the final application designs, we wanted our application to offer these particular core features at the very least:

Tool Library – A place for makers to browse all tools available in the makerspace

Help – A platform for makers to reach out to staff and other makers for help

Tutorials – A personal resource section for learning different tools and techniques
With these core features identified, our team started drafting storyboards to visualize the earlier usage scenarios.
